OUR PATIENT BENEFITS

Occupational patients will develop and maintain daily living skills by reducing barriers that limit their activities. In addition to enhanced communication and improved swallowing functions, speech therapy increases the ability to be understood and to problem solve, building a better quality of life and strong self-esteem. Physical therapy aids in many types of recovery. Patients will improve strength, balance and mobility and gain functional independence.

ACME SERVICES

SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPY SERVICES

We provide evaluation of speech, language, fluency, feeding/swallowing, and cognitive communication functioning for children and adults in a variety of settings such as home, school, and clinic.  We offer individual and group therapy to improve speech, language, pragmatic/social skills, problem solving skills, functional communication, and swallowing disorders. We conduct assessments for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods and devices. We provide training and support for families, caregivers, and staff who provide care to the patient.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES

Our pediatric OTs take a developmental approach to address areas of physical ability (fine and gross motor skills), sensory processing and modulation, handwrit­ing skills, visual motor skills, and self-help skills. We use fun and creative ways to increase your child’s strength, coordination, attention, and focus for tasks at home, school or play. Occupational interventions include helping children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and cognitive changes. OTs utilize therapeutic approaches to help clients of all ages improve their ability to participate in activities at home, work or leisure.

PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES

Our PTs diagnose and treat movement related dysfunction and enhance the physical and functional status in all age populations from newborn to elderly.

ADULT SERVICES

We specialize in treating cognitive, communication, memory and swallowing problems associated with Stroke, TBI, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, and other neurological disorders.
